After ten years the Bank of England raises interest rate.
However, the pound fell about a cent compared to the dollar and the yields on government bonds lost 5 points cause the reaction of the markets facing the aprouch of the BoE to the future increases of rates.
The governor of the BoE, Mark Carrey, said that the great novelty, generated by the increase of the rates, created some uncertainty on the impact on the economy. And finally he added: "we don't care where it is the inflation now, but where it is going".
