José Baquerizo supports to Education and Health

     One of the best achievementsin José's life was to be part of the creation of ESPOL, he was a professor in Catholic University, and also saved thousand of people as a surgeon. This Doctor is an advisor surgery and a professor in Hospital Luis Vernaza.  He entered when he was 50 years old, he attended many people that he doesn't even remember and has never seen again. In the beginning of his carrewr in Vernaza; heoperated a prisoner that came with a stab wound to the heart. José had to stich his wound and after 8 days the prisoner escaped from the hospital, he also collaborated in SOLCA many times. 

     On the other hand, from 1957 to 1959 he inaugurated many schools around the country, also was interested in the explotatios of natural resources, so now he lives on a ranch in Via duran-Boliche, where he is planting cacao, banano, rice, sunflowers, etc.

     The field has been his attraction, now that he is away from the operating rooms he is a lover reader from the medicine books. Also he shares all his experience with the youngest people to aspire to be doctores, and he hopes that they involve to this service. One of his phrases is "Never say no to the country, Young people should not abandonde the possibility of being political servants of the country. Serve this country will always be an honor".
