Interview with a military member

The last Monday, 12 of april, one of our interviewers, Martin de Diego, had a interview with a soldier of ther republic army. Here it is.

-Good morning readers. Today is 12 april of 1937, I'm Martin de Diego, and i'm going to interview a military member of the republic, Carlos Guerra.

Good morning Carlos, i'm Martin.

+Good morning martin, happy to be here.

-Ok, let's start. In this moment, you are battlening in Madrid, aren't you?

+Yes, we are resisting  the attacks of the nationalists, but soon we will win this battle and show the nationalist who led in Spain. But the situation in other places is critic.

-Ca you talk us more about the situation in other places?

+ Sure. In the last months there have been battles around all Spain. The battle of Jarama in Valencia, in wich we defeated the nationalist, or the battle in wich we lost Malaga. The nationalist troops killed ours and got the city. We couldn't defend us.

-Do you know something about the help is receiving the natioalist?

+Yes, they are receiving help from Italy, Portugal and the Nazis.The Italians have tried to conquest Madrid, but they failed, and the Condor Army, a nazi airforcce, it's being a big problem in the north campaign, for example, when they bombed Guernica. But after all of this, we have plans and strategies that will help us to win this war.

-You can talk us about your life as a soldier?

+The life of a soldier can be dangerous, but is the most honorable job in whic i have worked. We need our people to win this war.
