TRAVEL TO CANCUN
Cancun is a city in Mexico located in the Yucatan Peninsula that borders the Caribbean Sea and is know for its beaches, numerous tourist centers and nightlife. It consists of 2 different areas: the most traditional downtown area and the Hotel Zone, the coastal strip with high hotels, nightclubs, shops and restaurants. Cancun is also a popular destination among students during the university vacation period in the spring.
In the main commercial street of the Hotel Zone, the Kukulcan Boulevard, you can also find El Rey, ancient Mayan ruins, and the elegant Mayan artifacts. Apart from swimming, popular aquatic activities include snorkelling and scuba diving on the Masoamerican reef, or one of the many sinkholes in the region know as cenotes. Navigation and jet skis are cammon in the quiet Nichupte lagoon. Rent boats for deep-sea fishing and ferries make frequent trips along the coast to nearby Isla Mujeres where the Garrafon Arrecifes Natural Park is located. To the south of the city, there is Xcart, an ecological park with a Mayan theme, and the Xel-Ha water park.
