The drug cases, possession of weapons, thefts and robberies are the facts with more hearing requests filed by the Public Ministry
In the courtrooms of the judicial offices of Panama, San Miguelito, Colón, Darién and La Chorrera, which correspond to the First Judicial District, were held 103 hearings, control of guarantees, using the Criminal System to an Accusatory, during the four days of Carnival (from 25 to 28 February) and Ash Wednesday (1 march).
The drug cases, possession of weapons, thefts and robberies are the facts with more requests for oral hearings and public, presented by the Public Ministry.
In the circuit of Panama, there were 37 hearings, of these, 8 correspond to Saturday, 5 to Sunday, 7 to Monday, 9 to Tuesday, and 8 to Ash Wednesday.
For this same period, in the Judicial Office of San Miguelito, there were held five hearings of warranties and Darien were six.
In the meantime, during the Sunday 26 and Tuesday 28 February, the Court Office of the Criminal justice System Adversarial in the province of Columbus made a total of 8 hearings control of guarantees. However, the days Saturday, Monday and Wednesday, there were no hearing requests for part of the Public Ministry.
During those two days, the crimes more concurrent were domestic violence (3 cases), against the collective security (2), against life and personal integrity (attempt to murder) (2) and against the wealth (1).
In the province of West Panama, there were 10 hearings, the Saturday of the Carnival became a for the crime of drug; the Sunday of Carnival, two hearings (one for drugs and another for theft); the Monday of Carnival there were four, two by drug, one for property damage and other theft.
