Adam Richard Sandler son of Judith Levine, a nursery school teacher, and Stanley Alan Sandler, an electrical engineer. Of Russian Jewish descent is he. At age 17, at a Boston comedy club he took his first step to becoming a comedian when he spontaneously came up. At New York University he cultivated his talent by graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts , he performed regularly at clubs and universities.
At a comedy club in Los Angeles while working, he was discovered by Dennis Miller, who recommended him to the producer of Saturday Night Live . On the show he was chosen, for which he also wrote, in addition to acting. After Saturday Night Live, he went to the Sandler cinema, starring in successful comedies such as Hollow Heads , Happy Gilmore , Billy Madison and A Great Dad .
He has also starred in Mr. Deeds' Inheritance alongside Winona Ryder; Eight Crazy Nights , an animated film about the Jewish Hanukkah festival; and intoxicated with love . In many of his own films, he composes, writes, and produces, including The Best of My Weddings . In the lists of "Billboard" several of his songs have been put, "The Chanukah Song" was included this classic.
