YOUNG MAN WAS BRUTALLY BEATEN AFTER BEING CONFUSED WITH A THIEF.

The 19-year-old man was walking on Ciudad de Cali Avenue with Calle 13, in Bogotá, when he was falsely accused. Believing he was a thief, a motorcyclist chased him, blocked his path and knocked him down from the bike, according to the victim's father.

It all happened when a woman accused him of having stolen her cell phone, however, it was nothing more than a ruse by two criminals who managed to get the victim to be beaten by the community while they took away the bicycle she was riding on and other belongings. At that moment of confusion, a woman appeared "screaming that my son had taken his cell phone." They unhooked his suitcase to look for the alleged device, but found nothing. As seen in videos recorded by the community, other people came to beat the young man unfairly accused of theft. However, his family says he is not a thief, but a worker who operates cutting machines. In the same images, a subject is heard encouraging the beating. According to the father of the person affected, that person is part of the gang and his role is to generate outrage so that they can take advantage of the confusion. The woman in the video points out that she is a nurse and, finally, she takes the boy's suitcase and bicycle. The Bogotá Police are conducting the respective investigation to clarify what happened.
