After a 20-hour debate and singing "Las Mañanitas" to AMLO, deputies endorse Expenditure Budget 2021

After a debate of more than 20 hours and for the third consecutive day, the plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies managed to approve in general and in particular the Expenditure Budget of the Federation for 2021 with an amount of 6 billion 295 thousand 736 million of pesos.

This opinion received 305 votes in favor of Morena, PT, PES and Verde and 151 of PAN, PRI, MC and PRD, it was sent to the Executive Power for publication.
In this debate, only 10 reservations or modification proposals were accepted, all from Morena's bench, and one of the most important was to grant 50 million extra pesos to the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judicial Power (TEPJF), however , Morena backed away and decided to withdraw it.

First, Q4 approved a reduction of 25 million pesos to the Federal Judicial Council and another decrease of 25 million pesos to the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation to expand the budget for next year of the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judicial Branch at 50 million pesos, however, Morena backed down and asked that her reservation be withdrawn even though it had already been approved.
In this opinion, a cut of 870 million was confirmed to the National Electoral Institute (INE) and it was not granted the extra 1.5 billion pesos that it requested to organize the Popular Consultation to prosecute the former presidents of the Republic and will only have 26 thousand 819 millions of pesos to organize the federal and 32 local elections, as well as the poll of the population as to whether the country's ex-presidents are guilty.

With this last minute modification, the Judicial Power of the Federation as a whole will stay next year with 71 thousand 299 million 339 thousand 460 pesos; the Supreme Court with 5 thousand 90 million 436 thousand 565 pesos; the Council of the Judiciary will have 63 thousand 178 million 622 thousand pesos, and the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Power of the Federation will have for 2021, 3 thousand 30 million 280 thousand pesos.
