The Twitter Founder's Warning to Donald Trump

Jack Dorsey said he would not hesitate to close the president's personal account "if he did not comply with the policies of its use."

Twitter co-founder and CEO Jack Dorsey said he would not hesitate to close the account of US President Donald Trump if the president failed to comply with social networking policies, but admitted that the company pays special attention to the journalistic value of publications.

"The same rules apply to all accounts," said the 40-year-old technology entrepreneur, speaking to the DPA news agency during the Dmexco digital fair in Cologne.

However, he acknowledged that "when it comes to news value tweets, we question the conditions of use, in cooperation with journalists."

Trump is a very active user on Twitter and his messages, which begins to publish from the early morning, usually generate repudiation and sometimes makes announcements or express opinions that later are qualified by the press office of the White House or one of the government secretaries.

"We welcome all the senior politicians who use our service because this allows the world to judge them," said the businessman, who considered that the US president's case is not very different from that of other world leaders.
