Scot Peterson, the policeman who didn't act during the school shoot-out in Florida.

Scot Peterson this is the name of the armed cop assigned to Parklandy's Stoneman Douglas School who "did nothing" during the shooting.

The sheriff of Broward, Scott Israel, after watching the security videos and hearing the police testimony, has decided to suspend the police officer's salary and includes an internal investigation into what Perteson did or did not do.

The sheriff explains that what he was able to see on the surveillance footage was Peterson standing on the west side of building 12 and not entering the building. Peterson as a school guard should have acted as the person who could have prevented most of the shooting. Their function was to enter, search for the attacker and kill him, thus preventing the victims' deaths. After being suspended, Paterson himself decided to resign.
