The Spanish and French states, Germany and Italy have decided to suspend, as a precaution,
the inoculation of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
Spain will temporarily suspend (15 days) the administration of the vaccine against the coronavirus
developed by the company AstraZeneca, after several cases of thrombosis were detected in other
countries in people who had been administered this vaccine, as confirmed by Europa Press.
This has been agreed in the plenary session of the Interterritorial Council of the National Health
System (CISNS), convened urgently this Monday by the Minister of Health, Carolina Darias,
and in which the Health Counselors of the autonomous communities have participated.
In this sense, the Department of Health of the Basque Government has ordered the suspension
of the vaccination with AstraZeneca, after the emergency meeting held this afternoon by the
Interterritorial Council of Health decided to paralyze the administration of this vaccine for 15 days
as a precaution.
