N95 FILTERING FACEPIECE RESPIRATORS - Exercise for UMNG by Henry Fontecha Pérez d0700474
The N95 and P100 filtering facepiece respirators typically removed more than 95% of the nanoparticles, and effectiveness increased as the diameter of the particles decreased below 30 nm (Rengasamy et al. 2008). Safe Work Australia discussed the methods by which nanoparticle entrapment occurs and recommended further exploration of the use of electrostatic precipitators and, for some processes, full enclosure, as well as eye and face protection (Safe Work Australia 2009). Filtration performance of NIOSH approved N95 and P100 filter facepiece respirators against nanoparticles of sizes 4 to 30 nanometers.
