Paramo

Colombia is a country with a great biodiversity of ecosystems, among them we stop them. These ecosystems are very important because they reserve and produce the water we need, but they are very threatened by human actions such as mining, pollution, among others. The Guacheneque páramo is one of the Colombian moors that is protected and that the Regional Autonomous Corporation (CAR) takes into account, since in this moor one of the most important rivers is born that is the Bogotá river. This entity (CAR) carries out a decontamination process of the Bogotá River, as it is one of the most polluted rivers in the world and affects many people.

The problem generated by the Bogotá river when it is in such a degree of pollution is impressive, since it not only affects itself but also affects the rest of the rivers, thus destroying all the life forms that depend on it. The waters arrive from other Rivers, such as the Juan Amarillo River, the Fucha River and, finally, the Tunjuelo River. This river crosses many communities, for the final landing on the Magdalena River, and consequently, the Magdalena River is also contaminated.

The decontamination process of the Bogotá river is a long process, of the construction of several wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), but the RCA not only focuses directly on the decontamination of the river, but also focuses on creating environmental awareness , especially in young people. . For this reason, they carry out environmental recognition and care projects in schools, and one of them is that of Fe y Alegría San Ignacio, in which several trainings on water care, the Bogotá river and environmental awareness were conducted , in addition to making an exit to the Guacheneque moor, which is where the Bogotá river is born, to recognize and appreciate the ecosystem where such a polluted river is born.

Apart from the departure that was made with the students, training was carried out where topics related to water care, the process of decontamination of the river, fauna, flora were discussed, among other issues related to the biodiversity of the ecosystem I was going to visit; and there were other reconnaissance trips from the river in the closest context, which is the town of Bosa, and where the river's surroundings were also cleaned.

 The total cleanliness of the Bogota river, not only depends on protective entities such as the CAR, it also depends on people's awareness so that 100% of decontamination can be achieved.The objective is that by 2024 this complete cleaning of this river is complete
