What is the drogadiction?

 Addiction, in a few words, is something chronic that the body looks for after constantly trying or doing something, in this case we are based on drug addiction. In this case, the person search that sensation caused by the drug, althougt the very negative reaction it has; as much as for your personal life and for your own body. it is considered a mental disorder since a series of changes in the brain circuit can occur, which could be present so the person has already stopped using drugs.

This type of addition can be compared by heart disease; since they cause collateral damage to body organisms; which could become lethal in a person, to the point of death.

But the real problema is not who consumes it, but in why they consume it; what is the reason or the impulse to do it.

Now after this introduction of what drugs are and what consequences they bring to life, I will give some research points about the drugs.

Why do people use or consume drugs?

People use drugs for different reasons. Up next, we will name the most recurring:

To feel free or good: drugs develop a actions equal to that of desires, transforming them into pleasure. A feeling of ecstasy that progresses depending on the drug that is being consumed, An example of a drug can be cocaine; after the sensations of pleasure it leaves, the person with more power, autonomy and more energy feels.

To feel better: some people may have depression, stress, social anxiety. The drugs, according to them, makes them understand a little better. Stress is a fairly important factor in these cases, they worsen the situation.

To perform better: there are times when work puts us under pressure, people who consume this type of drug feel calm and security, it not only applies at work but also in life itself. That's a generative fact that encourages people to consume.

Curiosity and social pressure: many people who use drugs do so out of curiosity or because their closest friends introduce them to this dead-end world. others because they force them to do such a thing. adolescents, due to their little knowledge of this subject, are more likely to consume.

Using alcohol or ciggarette at an early age increases the risk of using other drugs later. Some teens experiment a little and stop using them or continue to use them occasionally without significant problems. Adolescence is the time to try new things. Teens use alcohol and other drugs for various reasons, including curiosity, to feel good, to reduce stress, to feel like an adult, or to belong to a group.

Some of the teenagers are not enough with the legal drogs and, for this reason, they start with the illegal ones.

Legal drugs available include alcoholic beverages, prescription drugs, inhalants (vapors from sticks, sprays, and solvents), and over-the-counter cough, flu, insomnia, and weight loss drugs. The most commonly used illegal drugs are marihuana (pot), stimulants (cocaine, "crack" and "speed"), LSD, PCP, opium derivatives, heroin, and designed drugs (ecstasy). The use of illegal drugs is on the rise, especially among young people or adolescents.

Now, we focus on this part of the research in our native country: Colombia

1). People in Colombia start consuming between 12 and 17 years old. which is a figure that is surprising from an early age.

2). Women consume more alcohol than men.

3). Colombia is one of the countries with the most figures in terms of alcoholic adolescents in Latin America, they share a position with Argentina.

4). 11% of Colombian students have already tried marihuana for the first time. These are the most relevant in Colombia.

To finish the investigative I will give a small conclusion about drugs.

That drugs are substances that, when introduced into the living organism, can modify one or more of its functions, alter the psychological and sometimes physical state, characterized by changing behavior and other reactions that always include an irrepressible impulse to take the drug continuously or periodically. drugs are a reality, it is not a secret for anyone that people consume drugs and we must live with that; however, we should not be a part of it. we are very valuable to fall into that underworld full of despair and overwhelm.
