Exposure assessment
Workers´ exposure determines the effects it will have on their health. To make the right decisions, a whole process is needed, and knowing how to abide by each of the recommended improvements.
At this point, it is evident how all the steps are necessary to improve and control exposure to nanomaterials from different jobs. This is since by having the evidence given by metrology, the necessary decisions can be made to protect and reduce the impact of the risk on workers, due to the exposure in which they are in their workplace.
Taking into account that by having this help from metrology, it was possible to use the sampling of the particulate material and also determine that the particles are measurable and that not only their physicochemical characteristics influence, but the activities carried out at work also have an impact.
This means that each time it could be more exact with the measurements and with the results found and thus the parameters given by the NIOSH and OECD can be followed where it is emphasized that an evaluation must be made from the beginning of the work tasks, the sources to which the workers will be exposed because there is already more information that helps reduce the exposure of workers.
