Johanna Ortiz opens Colombiamoda

Johanna Ortiz is currently the most internationally recognized Colombian designer. His creations are used by celebrities such as Michelle Obama, Amal Clooney, Alexa Chung and Lily Collins. In addition, his designs are included in the fashion editorials of magazines such as ‘Vogue’ and ‘Elle’.
During the last months, in her workshops in Cali, Johanna worked on all the details of her Resort Caprice collection, which will be seen at this fair in Medellin and part of it has already been presented in Paris and New York.
“It's not a Caribbean collection or beachwear only. It is a transition collection, between one season and another. They are intermediate collections that for buyers are more important than the Spring-Summer and Fall-Winter collections. It is the most important moment of the business, because that is when buyers are given more budget, ”said Johanna.

Resort Caprice is a collection aimed at a woman of young spirit, who is constantly moving, who wants to look good but without losing elegance or her own style. There will be a total of 65 departures that will have the runway of Johanna Ortiz in Colombiamoda, with a tropical but sophisticated atmosphere.
As for the graphic part, in his prints and others Ortiz was inspired by the work of artists like themworth Kelly, as well as the shapes and textures of the drunken flower, the guacas and even the clay dishes of Tolima, among others . All this together with a color palette that goes from vibrant tones to earth and ocher.
