They find a woman who has superhuman vision after 25 years of searching.

Researchers Gabriele Jordan, of the University of Newcastle, and John Mollon, of the University of Cambridge, had already said that they believed that the phenomenon of "tetrachromatism" could occur in humans and that it was more likely in women.

 And a new discovery proved them right.

 After more than 25 years of searching, a group of neurologists from these UK universities found a woman who has an additional type of conical cells, which are the ones that detect color, which can detect up to 99 million colors more than the other people

 This means that the young woman is a tetrachromat, that is, she has 4 independent channels for receiving color information when most people only have 3 and 2 if they are blind people.

 Beyond the case of this woman, who is a doctor by profession and resides in the north of England, specialists continue to investigate since they claim that she is not the only one on the planet.

It is estimated that there would be other people, especially women, since the key lies in the fact that the genes of red and green cones are found on the X chromosome. Since women have two X chromosomes, they can potentially have two different versions of the genes.

To find this tetrachromatic woman they carried out, for several years, an experiment. This was to gather 25 women in a dark room, staring at a light device with, supposedly, three colored circles. The woman in question detected more than 30.
